Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi – Lago Nakuru
Meet and greet at JKIA by our driver/guide. After a brief introduction depart for lake Nakuru National park. Enjoy a leisurely drive with a brief stop over at the view point to marvel at r=the scenic beauty if the Great Rift valley. Lunch will be served the Nakuru Lodge . Situated at the heart of the Great Rift Valley, Lake Nakuru National Park is home to one of the most amazing ornithological spectacles in the world – the flight of the flamingoes! Famous for the millions of pink flamingoes which flock this soda lake to feed on its teeming algae. Besides this, the park has over 450 species of birds – a heaven for avid bird watchers. It is also a sanctuary the great –endanger ed black Rhino and abounds with other game such as buffalos, lions and the elusive leopard. Afternoon game drives in setach of the wildlife Dinner and overnight (B/L/D)
Day 2: Lake Nakuru – Maasai Mara National Reserve
Breakfast and depart at 0730 hrs for Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Enjoy a leisurely drive arriving in time for lunch at the Luxury Tented Camp. This is a vast area of grassy plains converging by the meandering Mara river. It is an African Gem and an area rich in culture, tradition, beauty and home to the big five. It is here that one of the most spectacular phenomena of natural world take place – The great annual wildebeests migration, an occurrence that has been named as one of the seven wonders of the world by ajury of experts polled by ABC TV of the USA. The great migration involves an estimated1.3 million wildebeests,200,000 zebras and a multitude of gazelles escorted by a good number of carnivores. The action happens between July and October. Afternoon game drives at 1600 hrs. Dinner and overnight (B/L/D)
Day 3: Masai Mara National Reserve
Breakfast and depart for a full day game drives to the mara river where hipos and crocodiles reside Dinner and overnight accommodation (B/L/D)
Day 4: Maasai Mara National Reserve – Isebania / Sirari Border – Serengeti
Breakfast and depart at 0700 hrs with picnic lunchboxes. Enjoy a leisurely drive to the Is ebania/Sirari – Kenya/Tanzania border Clear with immigration, change of vehicle and the guides before proceedingt o Serengeti Check in at your hotel for dinner and overnight (B/L/D)
Day 5: Serengeti
After breakfast you will depart with picnic boxes for a full day game drive, Serengeti is also famous for its lions, cheetahs, large herds of Zebras, herds of giraffes, Thomson’s and Grant’s gazelles, elands, impalas, warthogs, and also rich in birdlife. later at dusk you will return to the camp for dinner and overnight booked on full board (B/L/D)
Day 6: Serengeti – Crater Ngorongoro – Karatu
Breakfast and depart with picnic lunchboxes for Ngorongoro conservation area Descend the crater rim The Ngorongoro Crater is just one part of a larger area of interrelated ecosystems consisting of the crater highlands (to which the Ngorongoro Crater belongs) together with larger stretches of plains bush and woodland. Ngorongoro conservation area covers an area of about 8300 sq km. Near its centre is the Olduvai Gorge where many fossils have been earthed. Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa’s best known wildlife – viewing areas. The crater is about20kms wide and it is one of the largest calderas in the world. With in its walls is a variety of animals and vegetation, including grasslands, swamps, forests, salt pans, a fresh water lake and rich wildlife. The wildlife found includes lions, elephants, buffaloes, wildebeests, Thomson’s gazelles, zebra reedbucks. Dinner and overnight on F B.
DAY 7: Ngorongoro (Karatu) – Lake manyara
After breakfast you will depart with lunchboxes to Lake Manyara National Park, upon arrival at the park you will embark on mid-morning game drives and later have picnic lunch at a spot in the park. Later you will proceed with the afternoon game drives Lake Manyara National Park covers an area of 330sqkm and two-thirds of the park is covered by Lake Manyara. The main attractions are the superb bird life, the tree climbing lions, hippos, elephants. Lake Manyara hosts thousands of flamingos as well as a diversity of other bird life. Dinner and overnight booked on full board.
DAY 8: Lake manyara – Arusha / JRO:
Breakfast and spend the morning at leisure. Later depart for Arusha, where by upon arrival you will transferred to the Kilimanjaro airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK) for your flight out.
