Holidays To Istanbul

Istanbul is a city with no parallel – it’s the only city in the world that covers two continents. Split into two parts by a strait of Bosphorus – the west side of the city is part of the European mainland, while its eastern part is part of Asia. The entire city covers much of northwest Turkey and stretches for approximately 100,000 square miles, taking the title of Europe’s largest city by a good margin.

Istanbul really ticks all the boxes when it comes to tourist attractions – museums, lavish nightlife, amazing local cuisine, monuments, shopping and UNESCO World Heritage Sites can all be found in the city. Along with a number of good beaches as well, most of the city’s historical sights are on the European side of the city, and the areas of Taksim or Sultanahmet are the best places to stay at. From there, visiting the city’s Asian side for sightseeing is quite easy. A subway runs between the two parts, helping you commute within 10 minutes. Alternatively, you can make a trip of the journey by taking the scenic route and crossing the strait of Bosphorus by ferry!
