Cruise along the Seine

If you're travelling to Paris soon, why not get out and enjoy the French capital? A cruise along the Seine offers fantastic views of all the city's major sights. With a bus and cruise combo ticket, you can enjoy all the delights of the city in one. Make sure you bring your camera and journal so you can take photos of the river and write your memories!

Visit Montmartre

Take a walking tour through the cobbled streets of Montmartre, a must-visit for anyone wondering what to do in Paris. To reach there, you can either take the Metro or hop on a bus. Once you're in the neighbourhood, look for a restaurant to sit down and have a bite to eat. If you'd like to enjoy a drink, stop by one of the many bars that offer live entertainment. Or, if you'd rather see the world outside, catch a bus.

Marche aux Puces

This huge flea market is a hidden gem in Paris. It has over 2,500 stalls hold a fantastic selection of things ranging from vintage items to local artworks and

antiques. Locals love the market; it's a real favourite amongst students who enjoy strolling the streets nearby. Haggling is recommended here, especially when buying old antiques. Otherwise, prices may seem steep, but if you get a good offer, you'll walk away with a bargain!

The Beaux Quartiers

These areas are commonly known as the Beaux Quartiers because of their many gardens and parks. They're mostly residential areas, except for the Musée Marmottan, which contains paintings by famous artists like Monet, and the Frank Gehry-designed Fondation Louis Vuitton, which contains some spectacular pieces of art, like a giant pink diamond and a huge golden fish. The Parc de Bagatelle and the Bois de Boulogne, on the other hand, are mostly parks, with a few buildings and a few small shops and restaurants. West of these two parks is the city's newest area, La Défense, which houses skyscrapers and other modern buildings. These include some of Paris's tallest buildings and are packed full of skyscraper offices.
